From the Garage to a Business with a Mission

Slick Auto Care was founded in October 2021. 

 

Nick Lemaire and Austin Sanderson crossed paths working at a car dealership in Little Rock, Arkansas. They became quick friends, learning that they had many shared interests and a passion for cars.

 

Ever since Austin was 5 years old, he loved customized cars with amazing paint jobs and sleek modifications. Inspired by movies like The Fast and the Furious, he pointed out the best cars he could find to anyone who would listen. As a teenager born and raised in Little Rock, he started working on cars in his garage after school. When he noticed scratches on his car, he taught himself the process of paint correction and detailing, turning it into a paid hobby on the side.

 

Growing up Nick learned from his father how to take pride in his rides whether it be cars, motorcycles, or boats. He loved slick custom vehicles and keeping them in pristine condition. In addition to working at car dealerships in California and Arkansas, Nick worked at his father's business where he learned to do electrical work and wiring. This skill became a hobby and he loved to install all the custom lighting he could get his hands on (he may be slightly obsessed). He started a family in 2019 and now has a wonderful wife and two beautiful children. 

 

Nick began working at the same dealership as Austin in 2020. The two eventually decided that they wanted to take charge of their lives and be their own boss. They both love to travel and spent time with their loved ones. Starting Slick Auto Care gave them the opportunity to create their own schedule and also do what they love. They combined their skills, Nick brought his background in car sales and electrical work. Austin took the knowledge he had in detailing and paint correction and they got to work!

 

The concept behind Slick Auto Care developed because Nick and Austin believed so much more in the potential for their own brand - working for anyone else would never allow them to express their interests and talents the same.  As soon as they found a location, the founders left their day jobs and launched Slick Auto Care.  After one year of being business, Nick and Austin are thriving in the industry that they love and helping customers get the care for their vehicles that they deserve.
