Winter road salt
Road salt does not just rinse off.
The salt spray they put down before a freeze is made to stick to the road. It sticks to your car the same way, gets into the wheel wells and underneath, and holds water against the metal for days after the roads have dried.
You can see some of it as a dull white film. The part that costs you money is underneath, where you cannot. Wash it off soon after you drive on it, and a coating is what makes that wash work.

The two towns sit next door to each other, the drive to us is about the same, and the paint problems are the same. One page covers both.
How far is the shop?
It is a straight run up the interstate and then east of downtown. Outside of the commute it is a comfortable drive from either town.
Do you pick up down here?
Benton and Bryant are outside our regular pickup route, so ask us rather than assume. Depending on the day and the job we can often work something out.
