Pollen is mildly acidic and it holds moisture against the paint. Washing it off badly, in a hurry, with a dry sponge, is exactly how a season's worth of fine scratches gets put there.

A boat hull is not paint
Sun and lake water dull it faster than owners expect.
A hull goes chalky and flat in the sun long before anyone thinks of it as damage. The chalk sits on the surface with sound material underneath, so cutting it back brings the color and the gloss straight back.
Sealing it is what makes that last, because a bare hull starts going chalky again right away. Boat work is priced per linear foot, because a twenty foot hull and a thirty foot hull are not the same job.

Maumelle sits against a lot of green, and spring here means a heavy pollen load settling on everything parked outside.

How far is Maumelle from the shop?
It is a straight run in and then east, and outside of the commute it does not take long. Maumelle is also on our standing pickup and drop-off route.
Can you handle a boat, or just cars?
Boats have their own packages and their own pricing, charged per linear foot because hull length is what actually drives the labor. Everything happens at our shop rather than at the ramp.
When should I book marine work?
Before the season so it looks right at the ramp, or before storage so it is not sitting bare all winter. A hull that goes into storage already chalky comes out worse.
